IAMFORGIVEN

dontgiveup

I have to admit, when things get tough it is so easy just to give up and move on.  My whole world is surrounded by options and cheap replacements.  When you get sick of something just move on to something else.  Everything becomes nothing more then just a simple satisfaction that is fulfilled by a temporary happiness.   When that happiness is challenged and we are called to do hard things, I find that most people’s character leads them to just run and hide.  We wait until things die down and then come out, hoping not to ever have to fully encounter making a hard decision in life.  We only want to walk on the easy road and when the bumps come, we pull over to the side of the road, turn off the car, and give up.

What we fail to realize though it that it is in making the hard decisions that life actually happens.  The Bible talks about considering it pure joy when we face trials… Why?  Because it develops perseverance.  God is more interested in us being strong in our faith and developing our character more than a trial we face.  The problem is that we never look at the bigger picture; all we see is the hardship before us.  So if we just give up on whatever we may face, we are actually missing out on the blessing of growing our faith in God.

We can not give up hope, and if we take our eyes off of Jesus, we will only see an impossible mountain that we can not climb.  That is when we trust God with our everything and allow Him to get us through the impossible.  He will bring us into a place that we can look back and see that He was at work growing our faith the whole time.  But again, if you give up and run from hardship, then you will never experience the blessings that come with being obedient and doing hard things.

I hope you will stay strong in the Lord and not run from your problems.  It takes a real (man/woman) to persevere all the way to end but the rewards are eternal!  God bless you and I hope you are encouraged to trust God and not give up.  Hang in there, God is in control!
