IAMFORGIVEN

fbeverything
We just finished up church and wanted to spend more time together before coming back to NZ.  So there is no better place to hang out than Denny’s, because of the infamous legend, Hipolito.  The night went on and it started to get late so all of us started walking out, said good bye to Hip, and made our way out the door.  If you have ever hung out with us, goodbyes can take hours because one conversation will lead to another and what was suppose to be a good bye turns into lots more conversation, pop fives, and hugs.

Ok, here is the real story…  We were chillen outside Denny’s in the parking lot and this young guy walks out and opens the door to this brand new Range Rover.  As he reaches in to grab something off the dash, I notice he had a rosary hanging from his mirror.  Boom!!  Thanks God for the icebreaker.

“That’s a cool cross, do you go to church?”
“Not really, my girlfriend gave it to me.”
Then out of the blue Morgan, my amazing Christian brother asked him “If you died today where do you think you would go?”
“I think I would go to heaven.”

This opened up a huge door to be able to share the gospel, so Morgan proceeded to preach the truth in love and explained why we all need Jesus.  As we were explaining this to him you could see a change in his face as if God was opening His eyes to the truth.  He was saying that God had been putting many people and things in his path and trying to get his attention, so he knew this encounter wasn’t an accident.  It was God tugging at his heart, knocking to come in and he could see it.  His money, background, or anything else wasn’t going to get him into heaven, it is only by Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross that he could have eternal life.

At the end we invited him to know Jesus and prayed for Him.  That night his life was changed for ever, because of a few willing people to tell him the good news.

I was super encouraged that night and went home thinking about how we have the keys to an eternal life in Jesus, and all we have to do is be willing to sacrifice our time to talk to people about Him.  People are willing to listen, but you have to be bold enough to speak up.  Look for opportunities to share and don’t be afraid because God is with you.

Thanks Morgs, Corina, Janis, and Jon for your faithfulness.  I can see you bringing many more people to Jesus 🙂
