destinationmanipulation

I don’t know about you but I think I play a good god!  I am constantly thinking that I know what is best in my life and taking the necessary steps to get to that final destination.  When something bad goes wrong, I fix it and move on.  When I want something, I manipulate whatever needs to be changed to get  the results that I think are best.  If I feel like somebody else isn’t doing what they should, I tend to put in my two cents to try and push them into what I think is best for them.  Overall, I am extremely good at manipulating my desired destination.  I am sure you are the same way if you are honest with yourself.

My dad use to tell me when I was growing up that if you want something, YOU have to go get it yourself.  Or if you want something done right, then YOU have to do it yourself.  We do the same thing with God in how we live our life.  From the beginning of time humans have done what we have thought to be “in our best interest”, instead of trusting God’s bigger picture.  Without knowing it, we do things without consulting God and in a way we are saying that we don’t trust His will for us, so we do things our way.

When you are going through a situation, how many times have you sat back and tried to look at the bigger picture of what God is doing in your life?  We don’t, we get so caught up in what is going on at the moment, that we feel like we have to fix it and do what we think will make us better.  “How can we come up on this?”  We shouldn’t try and manipulate our destination and get the results we want, we should  trust that God is at work and has everything under control.  He sees the bigger picture and what we need to grow in Him.  When things don’t go our way, EXCELLENT!!! That is the time that we grow closer to God and learn to trust him.

If you are trying to play God by putting puzzle pieces into places they don’t fit you are really going to mess things up and not see God’s finished product.  Step back and allow Him to help you with the puzzle of life while trusting that your creator who loves you and died on a cross wants what is best for you.  TRUST HIM, and allow Him to work in you to reach HIS Final Destination for your life.

This is hard, but there is so much blessings when you trust him!  Step back and look at the bigger picture while you watch God unfold and reveal to you His will.
