IAMFORGIVEN

Tis the Season

Every year this pattern begins to hit many people during the time of the Holidays.  Temperatures begin to drop and we feel a need to warm our hearts by cuddling with that special somebody by the fireside while drinking some hot peppermint cocoa with marshmallows.  As we hold them in our arms listening to the sound of pops from the wood burning, we begin to be thankful and never want that moment to stop.  Your arms tighten around them and you look into their eyes and tell them how much you love them and how they are a special gift from God.  Your hearts begins to tingle with butterflies as you get this emotional feeling that puts you on cloud nine.  Cherish those moments!!

But not everybody is lucky enough to have that special somebody.  There are millions of single people out there that don’t have that special person to share the holidays with, so what about them?  What do they do to quench that desire?  It can be extremely hard and painful experience making them dread the holidays, waiting for them to be over.

Yes it can be extremely hard but I have found that most of the time the reason it is so hard is because we are focused on ourselves.  When we focus on ourselves we find self pity and lose focus of the whole purpose of the Holidays.

THANKSGIVING… Be thankful to God for all of those blessing that He has provided.

CHRISTMAS… This is in no way about us.  Its about Jesus Christ and how he was born, savior of the world to take on our sins to give us life.

NEW YEARS.. Celebrate the new year focused on the one who gives you life.

I know the holidays can be extremely tough, I have been single through the holidays for over12 years but let’s not lose focus on the reason for the season.  Cling to your friends and spend time with your loved ones and most of all Focus on Christ.  YOU ARE LOVED!!!
