IAMFORGIVEN

My three month visa was coming to an end and I had booked this trip down to the South Island of New Zealand just in case God wanted me to go serve elsewhere.  That way I could see what everybody was raving about when they said that the south island is absolutely majestic.  I really wanted to find somebody to go down there with me so that I could have some shared experiences but God had other plans for me.

I hopped on a plane and flew into Christchurch at 6pm.  I had my car booked and was suppose to get to the airport to pickup and go.  Where?  I wasn’t so sure, just wanted to pray and see where the Lord would lead.  So as I get to the airport I went to get the rental car and as the lady at the front desk was looking for the keys, she goes into the system to see that it was booked to Auckland.  Which wouldn’t be a big deal but all of the other cars were booked out, along with the other rental companies.  So I was pretty much stuck with no way to get around or no place to stay in a land which I wasn’t familiar with.  YES!!!  ANOTHER ADVENTURE!!!  Where is this going to take me?

So fully just trusting God, as I was praying I walked over to this board that had a bunch of rental companies posted.  So I called up a bunch to give it a try.  It was Waitangi Day weekend, which means that nobody wanted to pick up the phone and help out because they were all out celebrating the holiday.    So one more try,  called up and got this guy who was extremely nice and helpful.  So he looked into his inventory to see what he had.  It was between an extremely small grandma car or a Nissan Sunny.  Although I love driving grandma cars, he thought it would be to small to go across the country in.

So, the Honeymoon began…  “Where to God?”

I really didn’t know what to do so we just jumped in the car and drove out to this lake to find a place to park and sleep.  The idea was to drive as much during the day and do a sunset and a sunrise in as many towns as we could in 6 days before flying back.  So since it was just the two of us, we woke up at 6am to find a spot to sit, take pictures, and enjoy God’s amazing presence.

I kid you not, I think God was looking over at me smiling and saying watch this, the whole time.  As I looked out the lake was crystal clear with the reflections of the mountains being cast down on the water.  The grass was green, the leaves were golden, and the skies were lit up with colors that were being reflected from the clouds.  I was in such awe, that I could hardly even take pictures.  Here I am all alone, with the love of my life, who is the creator of all things showing me a little taste of what He can do, and my heart just stops because of the love that he had shown me.

This was the best honeymoon ever!!  And it was just getting started!

So after, we decided to drive around to see what this little town had to offer.   After going through half a block, it came to an end.  The only other thing to see was the billions of sheep and farmland, oh and the crazy horse that as I drove by he stared at me and laughed.  Still don’t know why but we were laughing so hard after seeing this.  God has a sense of humor!

So first Sunset/Sunrise and now it was time to move on… Next Destination (Lake Tekapo)

So we continued to move forward because it was a good 5 hour drive.  But You will never believe what happened next..

To be continued….

HERE ARE A FEW PICTURES OF THAT MORNING 🙂
