IAMFORGIVEN

Took me a couple minutes after waking up to un-stiffen these old bones.  But woke up and said where to next God?  How about Queenstown?   YUP!  Queenstown is the next destination.  So jumped on the road and began day 3 of this Honeymoon with God.  I was super excited because everybody that I talked to said that is was a must!

The day began, and not even 10 minutes into the drive, God decided to woo me again. I looked over at the lake at it was glowing a teal blue that really looked fake.  As you looked up you had the clouds shining from the rays of the sun coming up over the hills behind me.  And I had to pull over and just sit in awe of God’s glory and amazing artwork.

So that started my day off right.  The rest of the long drive ahead was setup by a special gift that God showed me to prepare for the next couple hours.  But if that was just the beginning what would I see next?  I was in for a treat.  🙂  About an hour later I was driving and on my right I saw  another lake, thinking what are you going to show me now Lord?  It was a Lake…. with water… and trees…  Nothing special, at least not like the one I saw at sunrise.

But as I looked over to my left I saw a little pond and around this little pond was some absolutely stunning yellow trees.  With the pond being calm, there was a strong reflection off the water that created a scene that you might see on a post card.  I just smiled, giggled and thanked God for another amazing sight.

So I pulled over, walked back to the spot and wanted to take pictures, but as I looked down there was a white van and a bunch of little old Asian men standing around with their tripod setup taking pictures.  I walked down to join them, and as they saw me coming they packed up and left leaving just me and God to experience his beautiful nature.

So the journey had to continue, we jumped in the car and headed down to Queenstown.  Just before we reached our destination we stopped off and watched a few people jump off a bridge with a large string attached to their feet. I really wanted to have a go but had to save it for another day because that was an experience that I want to share with friends.  Ones that would egg me on and scream my name as I leap to my death only to be saved by a bungee.  So we jumped in the car and finally reached our destination.

Queenstown was an amazing city with tons of activities to do but for some reason I wasn’t in awe like everybody said I would be.  Don’t get me wrong, it was an awesome city for lovers and friends.  But for a lone soldier, not the best place to be.  If I was staying at a hostel, it might of been easier to meet people but my hostel was a Nissan Sunny.

So I figured I would give the scenery a shot and go out to see what the lake had to offer.  I found a road that looked fun to take, and ended up going halfway around the lake, to a little side street that had a hike down to the water.  As I walked out to setup my camera, this guy was dressed in army gear hiding in the bushes.  I didn’t know what to do so I just stood there and tried not to be seen, like a deer that knows it is being hunted. It must have worked because he continued to walk on.

As the sun went down, I was just in amazement of God’s creation that the only thing I could do was just sing out to the Lord worship and praise songs, while lifting my hands, fully surrendering my life to the maker of all that was before me.

After an amazing sunset with God, I went back into town to see what the night lift had to offer.  Again, as I looked, it really was a honeymoon destination for lovers.  So it was kinda disheartening.  So instead of basking in what I didn’t have, I decided to leave and go for a walk with God and check out more of the beach with who I did have.  As I walked out again God just put song on my heart and as I was singing, I just started to cry out to Him because of how good and faithful He has been in my life.  I was in one of the most beautifulest places in the world experiencing what not many people in the world get to experience and it was with the person that mattered the most to me.  What a blessing!

As I was worshiping and singing out to God, I started to hear ruffling in rocks behind me so looked back to see two little old Asian guys pulling out there camera to get pictures.  They were everywhere!  And they always came out of the most random places!  But that wasn’t going to stop me from staying in the moment with the love of my life.

What a night!  I think everybody needs to have a honeymoon with God.  This far I have seen Him do some amazing things and He still wasn’t finished.  This was only the third night and I was ready for more.  At this point it started rain so I jumped in the car and found a place in another parking lot to sleep in.  Next morning Here I come!
