There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power.  2 Timothy 3-5

It’s crazy to see something that was written 2000 years ago be so true!  All we have to do is turn on the TV to see how perfect this description fits our lives today.  We live in a world that promotes a life that is contrary to what is good and it is only going to get worse unless we turn back to God, who is good.

How can we expect the world to Love one another if we take out God, who IS Love? 

I look at my life and see that when I am not following God, I find myself living the way that God predicts in 2 Timothy.  A lover of money, boastful, proud, disobedient, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiven, slanderous, without self-control, conceited, lover of pleasure, having a form of godliness but denying His power.  It is only in that fellowship with Christ that I find myself Loving others because He gives me a heart to do so.

The only way that we can change the world (Or at least those around us) is by pointing people to Christ who gives us the power to love one another the way the world can not.  It is in that relationship with God that we will see the fruit of the Spirit;  love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Imagine a world living the way of Christ!  It would be a world of people that truly cared for one another in unconditional love.

I want to encourage you to seek out Christ and watch Him change you to love people like never before.  This might take time but continue to Pray and Read your bible.
