timing

Timing really is everything, and even though we want something right away God might have a different plan. I am learning a critical lesson in life and it has to do with trusting God to do things in HIS timing and not my own. When we try to do things in our timing we manipulate results to get instant gratification. We put our everything into our desires and try to tell God how to work in our time frame. We are very good at thinking we know what is best for ourselves, when in all reality God knows better.

I can’t tell you how many times I have looked back at my life and have been extremely thankful that God didn’t give me what I wanted. To be honest, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today and living my life for Jesus. I would still be partying and living a life that would have led to my destruction. But thank God he loves me enough not to give me something that would hinder my relationship with Him. He knows how much I love Him and how He is my everything. God knows the desires of my heart, because He put them there. So in His timing, He will provide.

This is a hard lesson to learn because we think that just because we desire something that God will give it to us right away. Well, most of the time that desire is just the beginning of preparation for being able to fully accept and cherish what God has put there. When we are patient and trust God, we will see that He will not leave us but guide us on the journey to that prize. It could be, that we need to go back to our first love before we can move forward to any other desires.

So whatever that desire is, trust God and wait upon Him, because when it is HIS plan you will be blessed more than you could ever imagine. God hears every prayer and in fact gives us an answer. Yes, Here you go. No, It’s no good for you. Or Not Yet, Just wait.

This is hard but when God feels you are ready, that desire will be fulfilled. His timing is everything. So be patient and pray for His will be done, because he sees the bigger picture of your life.
